Hard Rock Mining | Proposed Bond Determination and Partial Bond Release for Green Diamond Resource Company – Multiple Sites – Permit No. 00203 | Comment Period Closes July 16th
DEQ is seeking public comments on proposed partial bond release and comprehensive bond determination for several rock product quarries operated by Green Diamond Resource Company. The proposed partial bond release reflects reclamation activities performed by the operator on the LTR Rock site, including grading and contouring of 3.6 of quarry disturbance. The LTR Rock site is located 20 miles East-Northeast of Plains in Sanders County, Montana. The proposed bond release would lower the total bond for the permit from $65,687 to $60,959.
The remaining reclamation obligations for the LTR Rock site and 24 other sites covered by the permit are subject to increased rates associated with a comprehensive bond review, which proposes to increase the total calculated bond amount by $104,969 from $60,959 to $165,928.
