Montana Department of Environmental Quality’s Waste Management and Remediation Division is pleased to release a draft final December 2023 Risk-based Corrective Action (RBCA) Guidance for Petroleum Releases. The December 2023 RBCA guidance document will be allowed for use at Petroleum Release Sites once the RBCA reference is updated in rule. The “Incorporation by Reference Rulemaking”, MAR – 17-438, that proposes to update the RBCA guidance to the December 2023 version is currently in progress and expected to be final in May 2024.
