DEQ has amended Title 17, Chapter 85 of the Administrative Rules of Montana, pertaining to Title 75, Chapter 25, Alternative Energy Loans, Montana Code Annotated. DEQ has repealed Title 17, Chapter 84 of the Administrative Rules of Montana, pertaining to Title 90, Chapter 4, Part 1, Montana Code Annotated.

On July 10, 2026, the Department of Environmental Quality published MAR Notice No. 2026-89 pertaining to the streamlining of rule language, replacing out-of-date terminology, and repeal of unnecessary rules. The department has amended the above-stated rules as proposed.

The effective date of this change will be September 25, 2026.
