Hard Rock Mining | Proposed Crossover Exploration Project | Exploration License #00906 | Polson | Comment Period Ends August 27, 2026
The Montana Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is requesting public comment on a draft Environmental Assessment (EA) for a proposed exploration project by WRH Nevada Properties, LLC. (Applicant), near Polson, Montana, in Flathead County, pursuant to the Montana Metal Mine Reclamation Act (MMRA).
The proposed exploration activities would take place about 40 miles northwest of Polson, MT, with up to 2.48 acres of new surface disturbance. The Applicant proposes up to 4 drill holes, with a cumulative drilled footage of up to 14,500 feet and a maximum individual hole depth of 4,000 feet per hole.
In the draft EA, DEQ discloses the potential environmental impacts from the project and shares its determination of whether there are significant impacts. The draft EA is not a decision document but rather is a disclosure of the potential impacts from the project.
DEQ will accept public comments on the draft EA through August 27, 2026.
