The Montana Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), Abandoned Mine Lands (AML) Program, proposes to conduct a phased grout-injection project near an occupied rural residence in the Grosgarth Mine area south of Rose Hill Road near Medicine Lake, Sheridan County, Montana. DEQ proposes to implement a full grout-injection remediation project to stabilize mine-related voids and low-density zones beneath and adjacent to the residence using drilling and grout injection, with associated limited excavation, landscape repair, and drain field area work as needed to carry out and restore the project.
