Hazardous Waste Program| Notice of Corrective Action | Comment Period Closes July 13, 2026
The Montana Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is accepting comments on its proposed determination that facility-wide corrective action is complete at the Loveland, Products, Inc. (LPI) facility located in Billings, Montana. This proposed determination follows completion and review of soil and groundwater cleanup activities conducted at the site.
This notice informs the public of the proposed determination and seeks their participation in the decision-making process. A fact sheet and the soil and groundwater corrective measures completion reports are available electronically below. A hard copy of the fact sheet and accompanying documents will be made available, if requested. During the public comment period, the public may submit written comments to DEQ. The comment period extends from June 8, 2026 to July 13, 2026.

Based on the comments received, DEQ will issue a final decision to approve or deny the determination that facility-wide corrective action at the LPI facility is complete. Notice of DEQ’s decision will be given to LPI and each person who submitted written comments or requested a notice of the decision.
