Water Quality | Opportunity for Public Comment | Eagle’s Grove Subdivision Project | Comment Period is from June 10, 2026, to June 24, 2026
The Montana DEQ is accepting public comments on the Eagle’s Grove Subdivision, located near West Yellowstone in Gallatin County. The project consists of 56 one-bedroom short-term rental cabins and three accessory buildings (storage and maintenance buildings) on a 15.43-acre parcel at 1630 Targhee Pass Highway. The site would have a new groundwater well for domestic water supply (separate from the existing well used for irrigation and fire suppression) and a new subsurface wastewater treatment system (drainfield) with advanced treatment technology. DEQ issued a Nondegradation Predetermination Approval (EQ 25-2144) for the wastewater system in 2025. The existing on-site wastewater system (EQ 03-2050) would be abandoned.
The project is located in Township 13 South, Range 4 East, Section 21 off of Targhee Pass Highway (Hwy 20).
