Waste Management Bureau | Big Sky Portables Land Application Site Draft Environmental Assessment | Absarokee, MT | Comment Period Ends June 19, 2026
To comply with the Montana Environmental Policy Act, the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) prepared a draft environmental assessment (Draft EA) regarding the proposed Big Sky Portables land application site in Absarokee, MT.
The proposal includes approximately 20 acres of private property located at 58 S Beaver Creek Rd. The proposed land application site would serve the following counties: Big Horn, Carbon, Golden Valley, Stillwater, Sweet Grass, Yellowstone
The purpose of the Draft EA is to inform the public of the proposed action and to seek participation in the decision-making process.
