Consumer Confidence Report

The purpose of the consumer confidence Report (CCR) is to improve public health protection by providing educational material to allow consumers to make educated decisions regarding any potential health risks pertaining to the quality, treatment, and management of their drinking water supply.

According to Administrative Rules of Montana (ARM) 17.38.239 PUBLIC NOTIFICATION FOR COMMUNITY AND NON COMMUNITY SUPPLIES (2) The board adopts and incorporates by reference 40 CFR Part 141, Subpart O, which sets forth requirements for consumer confidence reports.

The CCR Rule requires all community water systems to prepare and distribute an annual water quality report summarizing information regarding source, any detected contaminants, compliance, and educational information.
