Petroleum Tank Release
Compensation Board
Submittal Cost Policy
Effective: January 28, 1991
Executive Director: Jean Riley
Board members agreed that consultants would be reimbursed their costs for the completion of the Application for Reimbursement forms even though the costs were not actual corrective action costs. The Board members were of the belief that the applications would be submitted more complete and correct if the consultants prepared the forms. No specific dollar amount was established.
(The preceding paragraph of The Petroleum Tank Release Compensation Board Submittal Cost Policy was repealed and replaced by PTRCB Claim Preparation Costs Reimbursement Policy, effective August 1, 1999.)
At the same meeting, it was determined that if a consultant charged for the preparation of the eligibility form and inquiring about compliance issues these costs would not be eligible for reimbursement. Board members felt the completion of the eligibility form was simple enough that an owner/operator could complete the form and was not corrective action cost.
This policy will be effective January 28, 1991 for all Applications received after this effective date.
This policy will remain in effective until replaced or superceded.
