Noble Excavating Inc Application
This permit describes the present and future plans for the Nickelback Quarry operated by Noble Excavating Inc. (Noble). The Nickelback Quarry was previously authorized under the Small Miner Exclusion Statement. The quarry is located in Lincoln County, 2.5 miles north/west of Libby Montana.
This application, if approved, would permit the Nickelback Quarry under pending Operating Permit #00182. This would allow Noble to mine to 150 acres inside a 165 acre permit area over an 80 year life of mine plan.
Noble operates this quarry to provide rock material for gravel, asphalt, fill, riprap and other uses. Noble is owned and operated by Chris Noble, President and Teri Noble, Secretary. Noble employs 65 full and seasonal employees. The Nickelback Quarry is located entirely on private land whose surface and mineral rights are owned by the operators.
