Water Quality Library

The Water Quality Library was formed to support the mission and operations of the Montana DEQ's Water Quality Division. There are over 9,000 titles in the collection including books, reports, journal articles, and DVDs, covering subjects related to water quality including methodology, toxicology, soils, mining, nonpoint pollution, fish, forestry, and modeling.

Anyone can search our catalog. However, to check out hard copy materials, you must be an employee of Montana DEQ or contact your Water Quality Librarian.

EBSCO Discovery Service™ (EDS) creates a unified, customized index of an institution’s information resources, and an easy, yet powerful means of accessing all of that content from a single search box. The State of Montana instance of EDS is called: "Discover It!" The searchable content is derived from four major areas:

  • The Montana Shared Catalog
  • Three independent library catalogs (Butte Silver Bow Public Library, Great Falls Public Library, and Lewis & Clark Library)
  • The Montana Memory Project
  • WorldCat
