DEQ to Hold Public Meetings on Montana Pole Superfund Site Sept. 12 & 18

HELENA – The Montana Department of Environmental Quality will hold two public information sessions to review and provide information on the newly released “Montana Pole and Treating Plant Five-Year Review Report.”

 

 

General Public Meeting:
6-8 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 12
Butte Chamber of Commerce, 1000 George St.

 

Neighborhood Meeting
7-9 p.m., Monday, Sept. 18
Silver Bow Fire Training Center, 350 Josette Ave.

 

 

Members of the public are encouraged to attend, and all are welcome at either meeting. Representatives from DEQ will provide an overview of the report, which assesses the progress and effectiveness of the Superfund cleanup project to date. Representatives will answer questions from the public and will provide information on next steps in the cleanup process.
