DEQ to hold public meeting in Great Falls on draft asbestos fee rule changes

HELENA – The Montana Department of Environmental Quality is hosting a public meeting in Great Falls on Tuesday, April 23, on revisions to the Asbestos Administrative Rules of Montana, Title 17, Chapter 74, Subchapters 3 and 4.

 

The rule changes regard fees for the issuance of asbestos project permits, accreditations, inspections and course reviews/approvals. The meeting is an opportunity for those who will be impacted by the changes to ask questions and provide comment on the draft proposed rule changes. Comments also may be submitted to:  deqwutbcomments@mt.gov

 

The draft proposed rule changes are available for review at deq.mt.gov/Public/asbestos/ACPRules

 

A similar meeting was held in March in Missoula, and a third meeting will be scheduled in Billings.
