Universal
waste destination facilities are facilities that treat,
dispose of, or recycle a particular category of universal waste. These
facilities are subject to the same requirements as fully regulated hazardous
waste TSDFs. Full regulation includes permit requirements, general facility standards, and unit-specific standards.
- Universal waste destination facility owner or operator, who recycles
waste without storing that universal waste before it is
recycled, must comply with 40 CFR 261.6(c)(2).
