Perhaps nowhere is the issue of Climate Change debated with more fervor than in Montana’s diverse places of business. Farmers and ranchers discuss it over coffee downtown and energy executives debate it over conference tables at the home offices. The concerns are real and grounded in economics. How will climate changes affect my business and my livelihood? What are the costs to turn this tide?

Montana is not alone in this regard. Nationwide, chambers of commerce are starkly divided over Climate Change. More large corporations now advertise environmentally sustainable business models.

In this section, we explore how Climate Change might interact with certain sectors of the Montana economy. Specifically, we examine the major areas of Agriculture, Transportation and its related Tourism industry.
