Wood Waste and Biomass Fuels
Other opportunities exist for biomass in the wood products, mining and automotive service and repair industries, and select public and private fleets. Environmental impacts can be reduced by demonstrated increases in transportation efficiency and changes in fuel and lubricants. For example, wood waste is Montana's largest volume industrial waste. By promoting other uses, such as power generation, DEQ can reduce transportation energy for landfill while producing green power.
Check out BioMax, a highly developed computer controlled biomass downdraft gasification and combined heat and power process capable of utilizing waste residues from the forest and agriculture industries.
