Senate Bill Number 96 (SB96), passed in 2015, allows the Department of Environmental Quality to use Orphan Share Account funds to clean up hazardous substance and petroleum release sites where no readily apparent liable person exists and collect data with the goal of closing those sites. SB96 was effective July 1, 2015, and a one-time-only appropriation of $7 million was identified for its purposes in the 2016-2017 biennium. This final report documents the actions taken and funds expanded. For additional information about this project, you can contact Aimee Reynolds at (406) 444-6435, firstname.lastname@example.org.
