DEQ, Roseburg Forest Products resolve Air Quality Act violations

HELENA -- The Montana Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) announced Roseburg Forest Products Co. (Roseburg) has resolved violations of the Clean Air Act of Montana (CAA) that occurred at Roseburg’s Missoula, Montana facility.

Roseburg violated the CAA and Administrative Rules of Montana by failing to obtain an air quality permit for a modified emitting unit and violations for submitting inaccurate compliance certifications.

The failure to obtain an appropriate air quality permit and submitting inaccurate certifications impacts DEQ’s ability to effectively monitor the compliance status of the facility.

Roseburg self-reported the violations to DEQ, corrected the violations and paid a $9,900 administrative penalty to resolve the violations.
