DEQ, Farmers Union Oil enter into agreement for leak detection and compliance inspections

HELENA -- Farmers Union Oil Company of Circle entered an Administrative Order on Consent (AOC) to resolve violations that occurred at the Farmers Union Oil Company in Terry. The violations were for failure to obtain a compliance inspection before the due date, failure to conduct leak detection monitoring and failure to correct the violations within the allotted timeframe. The AOC requires that leak detection be conducted on a monthly basis, a re-inspection obtained showing the violations have been corrected and payment of a $2,010 administrative penalty.
